Sales Assistant

About the Role

New Laxmi Khad Beej Bhandar Bilara is a local agricultural input supplier serving farmers and growers in and around Bilara. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bilara. The Sales Assistant will support day-to-day sales operations, greet and assist customers, and help them find suitable fertilizers, seeds, and other agricultural products.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers.
• Help customers find suitable fertilizers, seeds, and other agricultural products.
• Answer customer inquiries.
• Provide basic product information.
• Handle billing and cash transactions.
• Maintain organized product displays and stock areas.
• Record sales.
• Update inventory logs as directed.
• Keep the store clean and presentable.
• Collaborate with the owner and team to ensure smooth store operations.
• Provide courteous, efficient service and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service abilities.
• Clear communication skills.
• Basic sales skills.
• Organization skills.
• Basic numeracy and comfort handling cash or digital payments.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks.
• Prior experience in retail, agricultural input sales, or a similar customer-facing role is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Local language proficiency and basic reading and writing skills in English or Hindi are beneficial.
