About the Role

This is a full-time, Mechanical Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Mechanical Engineer will design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems and equipment used in algae cultivation, processing, and related operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and review CAD models and technical drawings.
• Perform calculations and simulations.
• Support prototype development and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine designs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Support installation, commissioning, and handover of site.
• Contribute to R&D initiatives.
• Document engineering work.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety and industry standards.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and SolidWorks/CATIA.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and basic fabrication methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with the ability to apply core engineering principles to system design and problem-solving.
• Experience in Project Management, including planning tasks, coordinating with stakeholders, and delivering projects within scope and timelines.
• Exposure to Research and Development (R&D), including experimentation, data analysis, and iterative improvement of mechanical systems.
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and other cities of installation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with sustainability or process engineering environments is an advantage.
