Lead Product Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a strong full-stack product engineer with deep backend expertise and hands-on agentic AI experience.

• Strong independent coder: Must be capable of designing, writing, debugging, and deploying production-grade software without relying on AI.
• AI-native developer: Highly proficient in AI-assisted coding, prompt engineering, and building sophisticated AI agents and workflows.
• Critical thinker: Must be able to challenge AI-generated code, identify hallucinations and flawed reasoning, and independently correct them.
• Systems thinker: Can understand the entire product, connect business requirements with technical architecture, and anticipate dependencies and edge cases.
• Product-to-code capability: Can convert ambiguous expectations into clear requirements, processes, workflows, prompts, and working software.
• End-to-end ownership: Comfortable architecting, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining complete product features independently.
• Future tech leader: Must have the potential to lead a small engineering team, own project delivery, and drive technical execution while remaining hands-on.

Key Responsibilities

• Own product development from problem definition and architecture through coding, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Build scalable full-stack applications with strong backend architecture, APIs, databases, integrations, and frontend capabilities.
• Design and implement agentic AI systems involving LLMs, tool calling, orchestration, memory, retrieval, and multi-step workflows.
• Translate business expectations into structured processes, system designs, prompts, and reliable software.
• Use AI coding tools effectively while independently reviewing, challenging, debugging, and validating their outputs.
• Identify architectural risks, technical dependencies, edge cases, and performance bottlenecks.
• Build production-ready systems with proper testing, security, observability, and failure handling.
• Collaborate directly with product and business stakeholders, question assumptions, and recommend better solutions.
• Eventually take responsibility for mentoring developers, leading a small engineering team, and managing technical delivery.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade full-stack applications, with strong backend engineering expertise.
• Solid fundamentals in software architecture, databases, APIs, distributed systems, debugging, and system design.
• Practical experience building AI-powered applications, autonomous agents, or complex LLM-driven workflows.
• Proficiency with modern AI coding assistants and agentic development tools.
• Strong understanding of LLM limitations, hallucinations, context management, prompt engineering, and AI output validation.
• Demonstrated ability to independently turn loosely defined product requirements into functioning systems.
• Strong critical thinking, systems thinking, problem-solving, and technical ownership.
• Ability to explain architectural decisions, challenge assumptions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

We value demonstrated engineering ability and shipped products more than certifications, framework familiarity, or impressive-sounding AI terminology.

Who Should NOT Apply

• Freshers or candidates without meaningful production software development experience.
• Developers who rely primarily on AI tools to write code and cannot independently debug or validate the output.
• Candidates whose AI experience is limited to basic prompts, chatbot demos, or simple LLM API integrations.
• Engineers who require detailed instructions for every task or focus only on isolated tickets.
• Candidates seeking a purely managerial or architectural role without hands-on coding.
