About the Role

Rite of Passage is hiring a Night Youth Mentor at Lava Heights Academy in Toquerville, Utah. Lava Heights Academy is a residential treatment program serving young women referred from juvenile courts and social service agencies. The program aims to support youth with histories of abuse, neglect, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness, and violence, helping them become educated and make healthy choices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for youth.
• Foster a supportive atmosphere for student needs.
• Monitor and document student behaviors and activities.
• Participate and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with professional staff to establish and meet treatment plan goals for each student.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 21 years old
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical, and TB screening.

Schedule

• 9:00 pm to 9:00 am (12-hour shift)

Compensation

• $20.00 per hour, depending on experience and education.
• $1,000 Bonus after successful completion of Essential Skills Training (within the first 90 days).
• $500 Sign-On Bonus paid at 6 months of employment.
