About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacy Technician role based in Huntington, West Virginia. The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists with processing and filling prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing and filling prescriptions
- Managing medication inventory
- Handling refills
- Preparing and labeling prescriptions
- Maintaining organized work areas
- Supporting patients and clinical partners with prompt, respectful customer service
- Answering basic medication-related questions within scope
- Helping coordinate care activities
- Supporting safe, discreet medication delivery and efficient operations
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Familiarity with prescription workflows
- Accuracy in data entry
- Knowledge of pharmacy procedures and regulations
- Collaboration with pharmacists
- Supporting dispensing activities, labeling, and maintaining documentation
- Inventory control: tracking stock levels, rotating inventory, and identifying discrepancies
- Strong customer service skills: ability to communicate clearly, handle sensitive situations respectfully, and support patients and providers professionally
- Basic computer proficiency
- Experience with pharmacy management systems is beneficial
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred
- Current pharmacy technician certification (e.g., PTCB or equivalent) or eligibility to obtain certification within a specified timeframe, as required by state regulations
- Attention to detail

- Ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols
- Comfort working in a setting that supports individuals receiving addiction treatment
