About the Role
Qualcomm is creating building blocks for the intelligent edge, advancing Generative AI Technology for the Edge, including model fine tuning, hardware acceleration, model quantization, edge inference, and related fields. This role is part of the Qualcomm AI Research team and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic research environment with a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and software engineers utilizing cutting-edge AI frameworks and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy on-device prototype software for cutting-edge AI use cases.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Python
- Object-oriented SW design and implementation skills
- Deep learning and ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch)
- Software design skills with a focus on usability
- Analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI) technologies
- Knowledge of neural network model optimization and on-target deployment
- Knowledge of NPUs / ML accelerators
- Knowledge of Android programming
- Optimization of algebraic operations in algorithms for HW cores
- Knowledge of C/C++ and embedded software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
