Self-employed elevator technicians in the Greater Delhi Area support a range of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings by providing reliable installation and maintenance services. This independent practice focuses on responsive service, safety, and dependable performance of vertical transportation systems. Assignments can vary from small repairs to large modernization projects.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Elevator (ELV) Technician. The technician will install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair elevator and related vertical transportation systems at client locations in the Greater Delhi Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety checks.
• Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
• Replace or repair faulty components.
• Document all service activities.
• Respond to service calls.
• Manage basic inventory of parts and tools.
• Uphold clear, professional communication with clients.
• Coordinate with building management and other trades to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience with elevator systems, mechanical assemblies, and basic tools.
• Foundational electrical knowledge, including ability to read wiring diagrams, use testing equipment, and follow electrical safety procedures.
• Understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and best practices for working in shafts, machine rooms, and confined spaces.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues, prioritize repairs, and complete work efficiently with attention to detail and quality.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, documenting service reports, and coordinating with building staff.
• Capability to work independently on-site, manage time, and adapt to varying work environments and schedules.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical certification or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or related field.
• Elevator-specific training or apprenticeship is an advantage.
• Previous experience in elevator, lift, or related field service work in the Greater Delhi Area or similar urban setting is preferred.
