Civil Engineer

About the Role

The Civil Engineer will contribute to the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects on-site in Kolkata in a full-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, design calculations, and technical specifications.
• Coordinating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conducting site inspections.
• Monitoring construction activities.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Addressing technical issues that arise during project implementation.
• Assisting in project scheduling, resource planning, cost estimation, and documentation.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering skills for planning and executing infrastructure and construction projects.
• Experience working as Civil Engineers with responsibility for project planning, coordination, and technical oversight.
• Planning skills for scheduling, resource allocation, and project management across multiple sites.
• Knowledge of Stormwater Management for designing drainage systems and ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and local regulations.
• Proficiency in engineering and drafting software (such as AutoCAD or similar tools) and basic office productivity tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site.
• Prior experience in construction supervision or infrastructure projects in an urban environment is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
