Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Fitter role. The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for assembling, installing, and fitting mechanical components and machinery according to technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspecting equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical issues
• Performing routine and preventive maintenance
• Ensuring machinery runs safely and efficiently
• Operating basic machining tools when required
• Aligning and testing fitted components
• Collaborating with engineers and technicians on repairs and improvements
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed
• Following safety protocols
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the workshop

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Mechanical fitting skills
• Hands-on work with Machinery
• Machining operations (e.g., basic machine tool use, part fabrication, component adjustment)
• Maintenance practices (including Preventive Maintenance and routine mechanical servicing)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, and technical manuals
• Understanding of safety standards and safe work practices
• Good problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent experience in mechanical or industrial engineering.
• Prior experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role in manufacturing or industrial settings is an advantage.
