Merchandising Intern

About the Role

The Merchandising Intern is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. The intern will assist in organizing and presenting collections, maintaining product catalogs, and supporting inventory tracking and sample management. Joining Laila Faisal Studio offers exposure to the full lifecycle of product development and merchandising in a dynamic, design-led environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the design team on product information.
• Prepare visual merchandising materials.
• Update price lists and line sheets.
• Support market research on trends and competitors.
• Assist in organizing and presenting collections.
• Maintain product catalogs.
• Support inventory tracking and sample management.
• Help prepare materials for client meetings, photoshoots, and exhibitions.
• Ensure that all product data is accurate and up to date.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations).
• Comfort working with digital catalogs or databases.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in merchandising, fashion, or product design, with the ability to understand collections and customer preferences.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail in maintaining product information, pricing, and visual materials with accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in New Delhi, take initiative, and learn quickly.
• Academic background or ongoing studies in fashion, design, merchandising, business, or a related field preferred.
• Prior internship or project experience in retail, fashion, or design is an advantage but not required.
