Cloud / DevOps Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Containerize applications using Docker and manage them with Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and logs using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
• Manage cloud security, access controls (IAM), and compliance best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Optimize cloud costs, performance, and scalability.
• Automate repetitive tasks using Bash, Python, or shell scripting.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and security teams to improve release cycles.
• Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability setups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 0 to 2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or system administration (internships and projects count).
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Good knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking basics.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar.
• Knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
