About the Role
- Full-time, fully remote Video Editor role focusing on short-form content.
- You will be the first and only video editor at the company, responsible for converting long-form content (Zoom calls, podcasts, talking heads) into fast-paced short videos.
- This is an execution-heavy role requiring daily output.
- We will provide training on editing techniques and AI integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing footage and deciding on usable clips.
- Assembling and synchronizing footage.
- Applying special effects, color correction, and other post-production techniques.
- Creating and inserting graphics, titles, and sound effects.
- Collaborating with the team to meet expectations and adhere to creative briefs.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Demonstrated experience in video editing, specifically for short-form content.
- Comfortable with AI editing tools such as Opus Clip, SubMagic, Veed.io, Descript, CapCut, and similar.
- Familiarity with Claude Code and MCPs.
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Audition
- Willingness to use any other tools that improve efficiency.
- Ability to edit long-form videos into short-form content under supervision.
- Ability to develop a unique creative style, rather than solely copying trending formats.
- Experience with AI clipping and captioning tools (e.g., Opus Clip, SubMagic, Descript, or chosen tools).
Qualifications
- Between 0-3 years of experience.
- First-time job seekers are encouraged to apply.

- Candidates with completed internships, side projects, and a passion for video editing, cinematography, art, music, and literature are preferred.
- Consumption of business, finance, and engineering video content is a plus.
- A portfolio is mandatory.

Evaluation
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on their side projects, sample videos, and past work experience.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to edit a one-minute clip as an assignment.
- Degrees are not a primary consideration.
