About the Role

The Optometrist cum Sales role is a full-time, on-site position based in Tellapur, Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations, assess vision and ocular health, and prescribe lenses.
• Advise on appropriate frames and lens options.
• Guide customers through product selection, explaining features and benefits.
• Ensure accurate fitting and dispensing of spectacles and other optical products.
• Maintain medical and sales records.
• Support inventory management.
• Participate in achieving store sales targets.
• Collaborate with other staff to deliver a smooth customer experience.
• Uphold clinical and service standards.

Qualifications

• Formal education in optometry (Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or equivalent).
• Valid registration or license as required by local regulations.
• Strong clinical skills in refraction, eye examination, diagnosis of common eye conditions, and prescription of lenses and basic treatments.
• Customer service and sales abilities, including consultative selling, product recommendation, and building long-term client relationships.
• Knowledge of optical products such as frames, lenses, coatings, and contact lenses, with the ability to explain technical features in simple terms.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse customers and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Attention to detail in record keeping, prescription accuracy, and handling of payments and documentation.
• Comfort using basic computer systems or practice management software for scheduling, documentation, and billing.
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Adapt to a fast-paced store environment.
• Prior experience in an optical retail setting or clinic is highly beneficial.
