Infection control Staff Nurse

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate inpatient pediatric sampling, cannulation, and procedures.
• Ensure timely closure of clinical instructions for inpatients.
• Ensure timely follow-through of patient orders, especially for ICU settings, including monitoring, investigations, and medications.
• Deal with patients and monitor them periodically.
• Keep records of all patients admitted to the department.
• Attend to patient complaints.
• Calm patients if they are apprehensive.
• Inform the consultant if needed.
• Supervise the department.
• Take care of pre-operative and post-operative patients.
• Coordinate activities between doctors, nurses, and technicians to provide better patient care.
• Meet patients and patient relatives.
• Counsel them about their queries.
• Perform administrative duties and risk management.
• Report to senior management.
• Liaise between administrative and medical staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
