Software Development Engineer

About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer, you will analyze, design, code, and test various components of application code across multiple clients. Your responsibilities include performing maintenance and enhancements, and contributing to the overall development process. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality code while adhering to project timelines and standards, ensuring that applications meet user and stakeholder needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake block Physical Design (PD) closure in advanced technology nodes (e.g., 7nm, 3nm, 2nm).
• Perform physical design implementation for multi-hierarchy low-power designs, including:
• Physical-aware logic synthesis
• Floorplan
• Place & Route
• Clock Tree Synthesis
• Routing
• Static Timing Analysis (STA)
• IR Drop analysis
• EM analysis
• Physical verification
• Support and resolve design and flow issues related to physical design implementation.
• Identify potential solutions and drive methodology improvements.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Collaborate and manage the team.
• Make team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to increase efficiency.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Physical Design.
• Good to Have Skills: None explicitly stated.
• Experience: 4-7 years in ASIC design flow usage & development.
• Experience: RTL2GDS experience on advanced technology nodes (7nm and below).
• Experience: Low power implementation and signoff, power gating, multiple voltage rails, UPF knowledge.
• Experience: Multi-clock and multi-power domain designs.
• Experience: ECO implementation for timing, functional, and DFT modes.
• Experience: Block-level and Full-chip floor-planning and power grid planning.
• Experience: Block-level and Full-chip design implementation.
• Programming Languages: Strong expertise in Python & TCL programming.
• EDA Tools: In-depth experience working with EDA tools like Fusion Compiler, ICC2/Innovus, Primetime, Calibre.

Qualifications

• Must have skills: Physical Design.
• Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required.
• Additional Information:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 15 years full time education is required.
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
