About the Role

Saatvik Agro is seeking an Associate Software Engineer Java for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India. This role is suitable for fresh graduates and early-career professionals interested in Java software development, backend engineering, application development, REST APIs, databases, microservices, cloud technologies, enterprise applications, automation, and modern software-engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Java-based applications, backend services, APIs, databases, internal platforms, enterprise systems, automation solutions, and digital tools.
• Collaborate with software, IT, data, analytics, operations, production, supply chain, finance, sales, and other business teams.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Fresh graduates and candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Final-year students completing their degree and available for full-time employment may also apply.
• Core Java & OOP: Basic to good knowledge of Core Java and object-oriented programming concepts, including data structures, algorithms, collections, exception handling, interfaces, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction, multithreading, concurrency, and clean coding practices.
• Java Frameworks: Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, or similar Java frameworks is beneficial.
• API Fundamentals: Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, web services, authentication, authorization, API integration, and system integration.
• Database Knowledge: Familiarity with SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, or similar relational and NoSQL databases is beneficial. Understanding of database design, normalization, joins, indexing, transactions, schemas, CRUD operations, queries, and basic query optimization is advantageous.
• Microservices & Distributed Systems: Exposure to microservices architecture, distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, scalable applications, or event-driven systems is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Version Control & Collaboration: Familiarity with Maven, Gradle, Git, GitHub, version control, branching, pull requests, debugging, code reviews, and collaborative software-development workflows.
• Testing: Exposure to JUnit, Mockito, TestNG, Postman, unit testing, integration testing, API testing, or automated testing is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Messaging & Asynchronous Processing: Exposure to Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, caching, message queues, asynchronous processing, background jobs, scheduled tasks, or event-driven architecture is an advantage.
• Cloud & DevOps: Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, or similar cloud and DevOps technologies is beneficial.
• System Fundamentals: Basic understanding of Linux, command-line tools, application deployment, environment configuration, logging, monitoring, and production-support concepts is advantageous.
• Security Concepts: Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, role-based access control, secure coding, input validation, API security, authentication, authorization, and encryption concepts is beneficial.
• Performance & Optimization: Exposure to application performance optimization, database tuning, connection pooling, caching strategies, scalability, reliability, observability, and troubleshooting is advantageous.
• ORM & Data Access: Familiarity with ORM technologies, repositories, persistence layers, entity relationships, transactions, and backend data-access patterns is beneficial.
• Frontend Technologies (Beneficial): Exposure to frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Vue.js, or Next.js is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Automation & Enterprise Systems (Advantageous): Exposure to automation, data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, generative AI, ERP, CRM, dashboards, reporting systems, or enterprise applications is an additional advantage.
• Agile & SDLC (Beneficial): Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Jira, SDLC, technical documentation, requirements gathering, user stories, sprint planning, or issue tracking is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Soft Skills: Good analytical, logical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Good communication, documentation, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
• Adaptability: Ability to understand business and technical requirements and contribute to practical, reliable, scalable, maintainable, and secure Java software solutions. Strong willingness to learn new Java technologies, frameworks, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, testing tools, and modern software-engineering practices.
• Work Environment: Willingness to work in an on-site environment.
• Project Experience: Internship, academic project, Java project, Spring Boot project, backend project, API project, database project, microservices project, GitHub project, hackathon, freelance assignment, startup project, or open-source contribution will be considered but is not mandatory. Candidates without previous full-time Java-development experience can also apply.
