About the Role
The Mechanical Design Engineer will work on-site in the Pune Division in a full-time capacity, contributing to the mechanical design of robotic and automation systems and related products.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing detailed mechanical concepts.
- Performing design calculations.
- Creating 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD tools in line with project requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine designs for manufacturability, reliability, and safety.
- Supporting prototype build, testing, and design iterations.
- Assisting in documentation.
- BOM preparation.
- Design reviews.
- Continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and project outcomes.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Mechanical Engineering skills.
- Design Engineering skills.
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals and materials.
- Machine Design skills, including experience with mechanisms, drive systems, and structural design for robotics or automation applications.
- Product Design skills, including concept development, prototyping support, and design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, with proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting using tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar software.
- Familiarity with relevant standards.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in industrial automation or robotics.
