Founding Fullstack AI Engineer

About the Role

Our client is a YC-backed startup building AI agents that automate pricing and quoting workflows for complex manufacturers. Their platform helps companies manage massive product catalogs and operational data by turning slow, manual processes into fast AI-driven workflows. They are looking for an early-career engineer who enjoys building real products and shipping quickly. Engineers on this team own features end-to-end, working across AI systems, backend services, and user-facing interfaces to deliver production software used by enterprise customers. This is a high-ownership role on a small engineering team where your work will directly shape the product and the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered workflows that automate complex business processes
• Design and ship full-stack features from concept to production
• Develop backend services and APIs that power AI-driven applications
• Build user interfaces that allow customers to interact with AI systems
• Work closely with founders and customers to design and deliver solutions
• Deploy and maintain production systems in a fast-moving startup environment

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong full-stack development skills
• Experience building AI-powered applications or systems
• Proficiency with TypeScript and React
• Experience building backend services and APIs
• Strong product ownership and ability to ship quickly
• Interest in working closely with customers and solving real-world problems

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of software engineering experience

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AI agents, LLM workflows, or RAG systems
• Startup or founding engineer experience
• Experience deploying systems with AWS or other cloud infrastructure
• Personal projects or products built outside of work
