Role Description

The Academic Counselor Intern will support learners by providing guidance on academic pathways, learning plans, and skill-development opportunities. This is a remote internship.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual counseling sessions.
• Respond to student queries.
• Assist with career and academic exploration.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and recommendations.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and refine educational resources.
• Share insights on learner needs.
• Help improve counseling processes and materials.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Comfort with remote work tools, such as video conferencing and online collaboration platforms.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide effective Student Counseling and Academic Advising, focusing on learning plans and educational choices.
• Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal interaction.
• Understanding of Career Counseling principles.
• Background or interest in Education, learning development, or related fields.
• Empathy, active listening, and a learner-centered mindset.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining student records and follow-up actions.
• Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline is preferred.
