About the Role
SureOfficialMedia is a modern digital business and financial media platform. The Software Developer will work in a part-time, remote capacity to support the development and maintenance of SureOfficialMedia’s digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug back-end services and APIs that power content delivery and user interactions.
- Collaborate with content and product teams to implement features that improve performance, reliability, and scalability of the platform.
- Review and refactor existing code.
- Optimize databases and server-side logic.
- Ensure secure, efficient handling of data.
- Document technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Back-End Web Development: Building APIs, working with databases, and integrating server-side services.
- Version Control: Familiarity with systems like Git.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues in a remote, distributed environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Time management.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time role.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree or current studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience or interest in financial technology, digital media platforms, or data-driven applications is an advantage.
