About the Role
MJS & Co LLP is seeking an Article Trainee for a full-time, on-site role in Pune. The trainee will gain hands-on experience in audit and assurance, tax computation and filings, and preparing working papers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support audit and assurance engagements.
- Assist in tax computation and filings.
- Help prepare working papers and documentation.
- Maintain accurate accounting records.
- Perform reconciliations.
- Support statutory compliance activities.
- Assist in business incorporation and related advisory work.
- Conduct research on tax and regulatory matters.
- Draft reports and summaries for senior team members.
- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary information.
Qualifications & Tech Stack
- Currently pursuing or completed initial levels of Chartered Accountancy or an equivalent professional course (as per institute requirements for articleship).
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic auditing concepts.
- Interest and aptitude in direct and indirect taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory research.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn accounting and audit software.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment.
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving attitude.
- Willingness to learn across diverse assignments and industries.
