About the Role
Opportunity Engineers Solution is an engineering services firm focused on delivering reliable, cost-effective, and timely project solutions. As an MEP Estimation Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in building projects. This is a full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in building projects.
- Analyzing drawings and specifications.
- Preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Coordinating with project teams.
- Supporting tender submissions.
- Conducting quantity take-offs.
- Evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotations.
- Assisting in negotiations to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborating with design and project management teams.
- Maintaining estimation records and databases.
- Supporting value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
- Interacting with clients and internal stakeholders to clarify scope, resolve estimation-related queries, and refine cost assumptions.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in estimation and quantity take-off software.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in basic CAD tools is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in BOQ preparation and project estimation for MEP and related building services.
- Background in Civil Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
- Knowledge of construction methods and building systems.
- Effective negotiation and communication skills for coordinating with vendors, clients, and internal project teams.
- Research skills to gather cost data, analyze market rates, and benchmark project costs.
- Relevant work experience in MEP estimation for commercial, residential, or industrial projects is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) from an accredited institution is advantageous.
