Key Responsibilities

• Professional approach with patients, staff, and visitors.
• Provide medical cover, routine and emergency, during duty hours.
• Work in conjunction with other specialties.
• Perform procedures: Central line, IV Channelization, Intubation.
• Operate instruments: Ventilator.
• Follow clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols (e.g., wearing gloves, aprons, maintaining hand hygiene).
• Monitor patients as and when required.
• Identify complex health problems and report immediately to the concerned doctor.
• Supervise daily clinical management of all patients under the guidance of Consultants.
• Prescribe pain management medicines.
• Effective communication with patients, family, colleagues, and other healthcare workers.
• Complete treatment sheets with diagnosis (capital letters), dated, named, and signed by the writing doctor.
• Refer to progress notes while writing treatment sheets.
• Assist Consultants for rounds and take independent rounds.
• Follow up patients for further care (change in plan of treatment).
• Accompany Consultants for rounds and take notes.
• Prepare discharge summaries.
• Assess new patients admitted.
• Follow on-call and duty rota based on department requirements.
• Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives and protocols.
