Accountant (Logistics)

About the Role

The Accountant (Logistics) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities related to logistics operations.
• Record transactions, maintain ledgers, and reconcile accounts for freight, warehousing, and transportation costs.
• Prepare and review invoices.
• Monitor payable and receivable accounts specific to logistics.
• Assist in budgeting and cost analysis to support operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to validate financial data.
• Prepare regular financial reports for management review.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
• Support audits.
• Contribute to process improvements in the accounting and logistics workflows.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in core accounting functions: ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, invoicing, and financial reporting.
• Experience in logistics or supply chain accounting, including handling freight, transportation, warehousing costs, and related documentation.
• Strong knowledge of applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to logistics operations.
• Ability to work with accounting and ERP software, spreadsheets, and other digital tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
• Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with operations, HR, and management teams.
• Capacity to work on-site in Gurugram.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to evolving business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
