About the Role
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join their team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role supports individuals with disabilities by teaching, coaching, modeling, and accompanying them in various activities and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with disabilities in participating in family, neighborhood, civic, cultural, and religious activities.
- Work with individuals with varying medical and mental health diagnoses and abilities in diverse settings.
- Uphold the dignity and respect of individuals served by promoting person-centered care.
- Document and assist with activities of daily living in a safe and sanitary environment.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to operate a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license
- No Experience Required - PAID Training Provided
- Preferred: 1+ year experience in a home health aide setting or school setting working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
