About the Role
MedQuest Imaging, a trusted partner of Novant Health, is seeking a Registered Technical Assistant to join their growing Mobile MRI Team. This role involves bringing high-quality diagnostic imaging services directly to communities across the region while supporting MRI operations at multiple healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen patients prior to exam
- Assist the patient in completing electronic paperwork
- Obtain medical history from the patient
- Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
- Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
- Assist the Technologist in preparing the MRI table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
- Start and remove IVs
- Maintain linen inventory
- Research availability and obtain reports and images requested by Radiologist
- Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High School Diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy certification, Certified Medical Assistant certification through AAMA or NHA, Registered Medical Assistant certification through AMT or ARMA, or ARRT registered in (R), (MR), (CT), or (M)
- CPR certification
Qualifications
- Minimum 0 – 2 years of experience
- Experience with patient care, including performing venipuncture and starting IVs
