About the Role
THD Design Group is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to competently perform essential duties and responsibilities. This role offers an opportunity for growth within a fast-growing company for individuals with leadership qualities and a solid work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide engineering and consulting support.
- Collaborate with senior-level project managers and professional engineers.
- Communicate complex engineering issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assist in developing scopes of services, cost estimates, and proposals.
- Perform geotechnical field work, including reconnaissance, boring logs, sample collection, construction observation, and material testing.
- Participate in geotechnical laboratory testing, engineering analysis, and developing recommendations.
- Prepare reports, plans, and specifications.
- Attend client meetings.
- Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Adhere to safety rules, guidelines, and standards.
- Participate in pre-task planning and report safety issues.
- Maintain quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geological/Civil Engineering or related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) is preferred.
- Open to all experience levels, including Professional Engineer (PE).
