R&D Software Engineer, Intern

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, and maintain software for class-leading network visibility platforms.
• Collaborate with engineers from a multi-disciplinary development team.
• Serve a role in feature development and issue resolution for Network Packet Broker platforms.
• Design and prototype innovative new features on existing HW platforms and HW under development.
• Develop high quality feature software independently and in teams.
• Participate in design and code reviews.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Full-stack web application development.
• Experience with Java and client-side scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, ExtJS).
• Experience with REST APIs and system integration.
• Experience with AI and LLM.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Strong software debugging skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering.
• Relevant coursework in a CS or CE program.
• Personal, academic, open-source, or internship projects that demonstrate initiative and technical curiosity.
• Knowledge of Ethernet and networking technologies is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
