About the Role
ZOLDO is seeking a full-time, fully remote Back End Developer Intern to support the design, development, and maintenance of server-side applications and APIs. This role provides practical exposure to production-grade systems and modern development tools within a supportive, learning-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement backend logic.
- Integrate databases and third-party services.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues.
- Review code.
- Contribute to technical documentation.
- Learn and apply best practices in software architecture, testing, and deployment.
- Participate in agile workflows, including stand-ups and code reviews.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, including working with server-side frameworks, APIs, and databases.
- Skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming, with a solid grasp of core concepts such as classes, data structures, and algorithms.
- Skills in Front-End Development sufficient to integrate and test backend services with user interfaces when required.
- Foundational knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, REST, JSON).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Basic debugging and testing practices.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within distributed teams.
- Clear communication skills.
- Strong willingness to learn new tools and frameworks.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree or recognized program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, relational or NoSQL databases, and security best practices for web applications is an added advantage.
