About the Role

Nordstrom Rack is seeking team members for roles in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment. This is a fast-paced, high-energy environment where you will collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers, ensure a quick and easy customer experience, and maintain store cleanliness. Flexibility is key, as you may work in different areas of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales and Customer Service:

• Ensure the salesfloor stays "runway ready" through re-merchandising and straightening.

• Assist customers with various transactions across different platforms (in-store, online, mobile) using a point-of-sale system.

• Handle bagging items of all sizes, including bulky and sometimes heavy items.

• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers, and sorting/returning clothing.

• Sort and return clothing to the salesfloor to create a clean and clutter-free customer experience.

• Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.

• Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment.

• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.

• Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program.

• Stock Support and Fulfillment:

• Receive, unload freight, unpack, and deliver new merchandise to selling departments.

• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.

• Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing, and shipping standards.

• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments.

• Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.

• Provide general store support, such as setting up special events, organizing backrooms, markdowns, and relocating fixtures.

Qualifications

• Physical Requirements:
• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Stock and Fulfillment Only: Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Pay Ranges

• Sales or Cashier: $17.10 - $17.80 USD Hourly
• Logistics: $18.45 - $19.20 USD Hourly
• Pay offers are dependent on location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
