Software Engineer in Test

About the Role

We are looking to connect with talented Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) who are passionate about software quality, test automation, and application reliability. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing principles, programming fundamentals, and automated testing frameworks. This opportunity is open to fresh graduates with relevant projects and professionals with experience in QA Automation, Software Testing, or Software Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
• Develop automation solutions to improve software testing efficiency and reliability.
• Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot software defects.
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform API testing and validate application functionality.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving test coverage.
• Support continuous testing and quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Understanding of software testing methodologies and QA principles.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Understanding of manual testing, functional testing, and regression testing.
• Knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress is preferred.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Knowledge of Git or other version-control systems.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Candidates with relevant technical skills, internships, certifications, or hands-on testing projects may also be considered.
• 0–5 years of experience in SDET, QA Automation, Software Testing, Test Engineering, or related roles.
• Fresh graduates with programming fundamentals and relevant automation-testing projects are encouraged to apply.
• Strong programming and logical reasoning skills.
• Understanding of software quality and testing processes.
• Ability to design, execute, and maintain automated tests.
• Attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn new testing tools, frameworks, and technologies.
