About the Role
The Academic Counselor Intern is a full-time, on-site role based at the Boston Institute of Analytics (BIA) Kalamassery campus in Ernakulam.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide prospective and current students on suitable courses.
- Explain program structures to students.
- Support students in making informed academic and career decisions.
- Conduct counseling sessions.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Assist with admission processes and documentation.
- Maintain student records.
- Coordinate with faculty and administration.
- Help organize academic events and orientation activities.
- Contribute to outreach initiatives.
- Provide accurate information about BIA’s programs.
- Ensure a positive, supportive experience for all learners.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- MS Office proficiency.
- Basic data handling.
- Familiarity with educational or training environments is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and faculty.
- Career Counseling and Education-related knowledge for guiding learners on future pathways.
- Ability to work on-site.
- Ability to manage multiple student cases.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Empathy.
- A learner-centric mindset.
- Relevant qualifications in Counseling, Psychology, Education, Management, or a related field are beneficial.
Stipend: ₹10,000 / month
Duration: 3 Months Internship
