Role Description

The Social Media Marketing Intern will support Maverick MKG’s event and marketing initiatives by assisting with social media content creation, scheduling, and community engagement. This is a part-time hybrid role based in Philadelphia, PA, with some flexibility for work from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with social media content creation, scheduling, and community engagement across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Collaborate with the team to develop campaign concepts that align with event goals and brand messaging.
• Draft social media posts.
• Capture photos or short-form video at events.
• Monitor social media analytics.
• Suggest optimizations to improve reach and engagement.
• Update content calendars.
• Support email campaigns.
• Coordinate assets with design and event teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation tasks, including planning, posting, and engaging with audiences.
• Foundational skills in Digital Marketing and Marketing, with an understanding of campaigns, branding, and audience targeting.
• Strong Communication skills, including clear writing, professional messaging, and effective collaboration.
• Interest in events, experiential marketing, and storytelling.
• Basic familiarity with social media analytics tools and willingness to learn performance tracking and reporting.
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with common productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft Office).
• Exposure to design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
• Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
