SDE Intern (AI)

About the Role

• Opportunity to work hands-on with emerging technologies, use AI-assisted development tools, and grow engineering skills in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
• Contribute to one of Jupiter Innovations Lab Inc.'s AI-powered products.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies, LLMs, agents, and frameworks.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts for AI-powered features.
• Develop agentic workflows and applications using LangGraph, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
• Integrate REST APIs, WebSockets, LLM providers, and third-party services.
• Debug technical issues and improve application performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
• Use AI-assisted tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT to accelerate development and validate generated code.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior team members on technical decisions, progress updates, and implementation strategies.
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to testing, code reviews, documentation, and debugging.
• Document research findings, technical decisions, and experiments.
• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Python: Working knowledge, including modular programming and asynchronous development.
• Full-stack development: Familiarity with React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, and WebSockets.
• Agentic AI and LLMs: Understanding of AI agents, LangGraph or LangChain, RAG, embeddings, semantic search, tool calling, and context management.
• Backend engineering: Understanding of backend services, asynchronous servers, and application performance; familiarity with modern Python tooling such as uv.
• Cloud and deployment: Basic knowledge of AWS, cloud application architecture, and deployment workflows.
• AI-assisted development: Ability to work effectively with coding agents, navigate codebases, validate generated code, and use AI tools for implementation and debugging.
• Version control: Familiarity with Git, GitHub, branching, commits, and collaborative development.

Good To Have

• Experience with voice APIs, real-time voice systems, or AI-powered conversational agents.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and production deployments.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Personal projects, open-source contributions, or practical experience building AI agents and full-stack applications.

Contract Details

• Initial contract duration: 3 months.
• Initial 15 days as probation and performance evaluation period.
• Successful completion of probation counts towards the three-month contract.
• Contract may be extended or converted to full-time based on performance and business needs.
• Compensation, working arrangements, and other terms will be specified in the offer letter.
