About the Role

The Community Volunteer role is a full-time remote position focused on supporting cybersecurity awareness and community engagement initiatives. This role contributes to online campaigns, educational content, and outreach programs that help individuals and organizations better understand cyber risks and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with social media and community forums.
• Helping organize virtual events or webinars.
• Sharing resources with community members.
• Gathering feedback to improve engagement activities.
• Collaborating with cybersecurity professionals and the communications team to ensure accurate, accessible information is shared across platforms.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Interest in cybersecurity, digital safety, and technology.
• Willingness to learn about current threats and protective measures.
• Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to engage respectfully with diverse community members.
• Basic digital literacy, including experience using online collaboration tools, social media platforms, and video conferencing software.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a remote environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a distributed team, demonstrating reliability, accountability, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in community outreach, volunteering, education, or customer support is beneficial but not required.
• Formal education in cybersecurity, IT, or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
