About the Role
Goodwill Industries of Akron is seeking an entry-level Sales Associate / Cashier. This role is ideal for goal-oriented individuals interested in career development and serving the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet all customers with a warm smile and provide exceptional customer service.
- Inform customers about the Elizabeth Clark Fund and encourage participation.
- Promote Goodwill Club memberships.
- Operate the cash register and point of sale system accurately and efficiently.
- Complete reports, including donation counts, readings, daily business statements, deposits, and cash drawer balances.
- Answer the phone with friendliness and a commitment to customer service.
- Select and price donated goods and textiles, adhering to Goodwill quality control standards.
- Maintain neat and clean store areas.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to operate a cash register.
- Basic math, computer, and typing skills.
- Ability to count back change.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Work Schedule
