About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Teacher Assistant in ICSE English for High School students at Oxford International School Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the English teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
- Prepare teaching materials.
- Reinforce key concepts during and after class.
- Assist with classroom management.
- Guide individual and small group work.
- Support reading, writing, and language activities.
- Help students with assignments and projects.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain classroom records as directed.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Help organize examinations, co-curricular activities, and parent communication.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to effectively support classroom instruction.
- Assistant Teaching and Education skills.
- Strong Communication skills for interaction with students, educators, and families.
- Comfort working with adolescents.
- Demonstrated aptitude for working with cross-disciplinary tasks.
- Ability to maintain an organized, safe, and respectful classroom environment.
- Ability to collaborate within a school team.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of local languages is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in English as the major paper.
- Full-time B.Ed.
- Familiarity with ICSE curriculum and assessment practices for High School English is preferred.
