Role: Furniture Operator

Location: Navi Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

• Operate basic woodworking tools and machinery.
• Assist in cutting, drilling, and assembling panels and fittings.
• Support modular furniture installation at client locations.
• Read simple design layouts or instructions.
• Measure materials accurately.
• Ensure proper fitting and finishing of furniture components.
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Load and unload materials.
• Organize inventory.
• Occasional interaction with clients or site representatives during installations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to operate basic hand tools and power tools used in furniture work (e.g., drill machines, screwdrivers, measuring tape, cutting tools).
• Basic understanding of modular furniture assembly, fittings, and hardware.
• Ability to follow instructions and layout drawings.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices, safe tool handling, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, with attention to safe material handling.
• Basic numeracy and measurement skills.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and follow guidance from supervisors.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a production and installation team.
• Prior experience in furniture manufacturing, carpentry, or modular furniture installation is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Minimum education at school level.
• Vocational training or certification in carpentry or furniture-related work is beneficial.
