About the Role
- Entry-level Field Service Engineer position supporting an established laboratory equipment company.
- Remote engineer role with travel to customer sites across New Jersey.
- Home-based, customer-facing positions with regular travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation.
- Provide customer training and technical support.
- Hands-on problem solving and equipment troubleshooting.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
- Willing and able to travel >80%.
- Engineers have plenty of autonomy and flexibility to manage their own schedules.
Qualifications
- Science or Engineering background – Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred.
- Strong practical / hands-on skills.
- Eager, coachable, and able to think independently.
- Previous field service experience is welcome, but candidates from a laboratory, engineering, or similar technical background looking to break into an FSE role will also be considered.

- $65–75K base salary + $600 a month car allowance.
