About the Role
- Participate in our Operations Management Trainee Program.
- An intensive 16-week training program designed to prepare you for your initial leadership/supervisory role in operations.
- Relocation to another facility for your first leadership role in Operations will be required upon completion of the Trainee Program.
- Work Shift: Third Shift.
- Average Annual Starting Pay: $50,000-$60,000 (pay may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities
- Learn the basic principles of the transportation industry, efficient cross-dock operations, effective leadership communication, and relationship building skills.
- Complete the leadership training program requiring guided, independent study.
- Interface with appropriate Support Center and Service Center associates in the completion of various aspects of the training program daily.
- Accompany and observe an Account Manager during customer sales calls.
- Accompany drivers on local delivery routes to garner an understanding of the freight delivery process on occasion.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Basic computer skills.
- An acceptable driving history that aligns with company standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, OR at least two years of related work experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening abilities.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Readiness to relocate as needed.
- A very strong work ethic.
