About the Role
SPATCO Energy Solutions is seeking a Service Tech Trainee for an entry-level position, providing training to advance your career. As a technician, you will be trained and certified to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on customer equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete petroleum service calls for customers at retail gas stations, commercial locations, hospitals, travel stops, and government facilities.
- Complete all service call paperwork after each call.
- Communicate with service dispatcher and manager.
- Explain technical issues in a non-technical manner to the customer.
- Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units (such as: Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett) and POS (Point-of-Sale) Systems (such as: VeriFone, Gilbarco and NCR).
- Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
- Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance to fueling systems.
- Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and provide repairs.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Attend training sessions which may be outside of your local area. Company covers training, lodging, and meals.
- Hours may vary, but you will work at least 40 hours a week. Overtime is available.
- After training, you will be placed on an on-call rotation.
- Requires daily local travel.
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid State Issued Driver’s License and good driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Must pass a drug screen & background check.
