Sales Associate (Full-Time)

About the Role

DTLR is seeking dedicated Full-Time Sales Associates for the Athletic Warehouse Outlet in Glen Burnie, MD. The role involves assisting the store management team with daily operational functions to ensure customers have an excellent experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Builds customer relationships by demonstrating strong customer service.
• Identifies customer needs and provides knowledgeable assistance.
• Displays basic fashion and trend knowledge to satisfy customer needs and sell appropriate merchandise.
• Assists with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Maintains a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
• Complies with and enforces all company policies.
• Embraces service training and product programs.
• Assists Store Manager with monitoring and identifying issues relevant to loss or inconsistencies to achieve store shrink goals.
• Monitors and controls operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
• Supports the training of employees in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
• Minimizes shrinkage of inventory by protecting the store against shoplifting and internal theft.
• Follows loss prevention policies and security procedures.
• Enforces and follows proper point of sale procedures.
• Balances money taken in and investigates discrepancies.
• Keeps management informed of important developments and potential problems.
• Helps maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Retail or customer service experience preferred, but not necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Open availability and flexibility.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge.
• Proven track record in building and working as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to handle responsibility.
• Understanding of the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
• Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Reliable transportation.

Compensation

• Sales Associate (Full-Time) pay range: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour.
• Eligible for the company 401K plan.
