Value Acceleration Engineer
Salesforce
About the Role
Salesforce is seeking an early-career, highly driven Value Acceleration Engineer for a unique, high-impact rotational role. In this forward-deployed position, you will work directly with enterprise customers and Customer Success teams to implement AI concepts and reduce their time-to-value. This role is designed as a 90-day intensive "Field Residency" focused on bringing 1-2 critical business processes live in production. After 6-12 months, you will transition to a core Agentforce (AFO) product and engineering pod.
Key Responsibilities
- Work hands-on with strategic customers to design and build "Day 1" agentic workflows and blueprints.
- Participate in 90-day Value Acceleration programs as the technical builder to get 1-2 primary use cases live in production.
- Quickly troubleshoot bugs, unblock implementation hurdles, and solve usability or security asks to drastically reduce Time-to-First-Value (TTFV).
- Facilitate working sessions with customers and deployment strategists, bridging the gap between business needs and technical feasibility.
- Enable and support implementation partners to take over ongoing build work post-engagement.
- Document design decisions and build patterns from customer engagements to feed the use case library and core product roadmap.
- Serve as the feedback loop between the customer edge and mainline engineering, translating real-world friction into scalable product features.
- Transition from the forward-deployed rotation into a permanent builder role within core product pods.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field, with 3.5+ GPA (M.S. is a plus).
- A builder's spirit (e.g., building projects on the side, staying updated on tech developments).
- High empathy and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting to external customers and navigating complex enterprise environments.
- Strong desire to learn both technical systems and business processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment requiring quick problem-solving.
- Enthusiasm for a rotational model: excited for field deployment before transitioning to core product engineering.
- Experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, JavaScript) and ability to pick up new technologies quickly.
- Previous experience, projects, or internships in customer-facing technical roles (e.g., Sales Engineering, Tech Consulting, Implementation).
- Hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform or building agentic workflows/blueprints.
- Exposure to the supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing industry.
