About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in Coimbatore. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end services and applications that support Zapulse’s data analysis and business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining back-end services and applications.
• Writing clean, efficient, and testable code.
• Participating in code reviews.
• Integrating data sources and APIs.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems.
• Contributing to architecture decisions.
• Ensuring software quality, performance, and security.
• Building tools and platforms that enable scalable, insight-driven decision making, working closely with researchers and analysts.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
• Hands-on experience in Software Development, including designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining applications.
• Experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and server-side frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and standard development workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, or automated testing is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
