About the Role

Loop by Zolo is building a hospitality experience centered around affordable stays, social connections, community, and memorable travel experiences. Social media plays a critical role in bringing this experience to life and building a community that extends beyond our properties. The Social Media Associate will own the day-to-day execution of Loop's social media presence — from content ideation and planning to creation, publishing, engagement, and performance tracking. This role exists to ensure that Loop's social media feels relevant, creative, authentic, consistent, and connected to the experiences happening on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Content Planning & Execution

  • Plan and execute social media content across Instagram and other relevant platforms.

  • Build and maintain weekly and monthly content calendars.

  • Develop content ideas around properties, travel experiences, guest interactions, community activities, and local destinations.

  • Ensure consistent posting and execution against planned calendars.

  • Create a balanced mix of reels, stories, carousels, static posts, and other relevant formats.

  • Coordinate content requirements with internal teams and external creators.

  • Ensure content is delivered on time and aligned with Loop's brand identity.

  • Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Create engaging, platform-relevant content that reflects Loop's personality and guest experience.

  • Develop reel concepts, scripts, captions, hooks, and storytelling formats.

  • Capture or coordinate the capture of photos and videos from Loop properties.

  • Create short-form video content using accessible editing and design tools.

  • Turn everyday property moments, events, guest experiences, and local activities into engaging stories.

  • Identify opportunities to showcase the people, spaces, and experiences that make Loop distinctive.

  • Ensure content feels authentic, relatable, and relevant to the intended audience.

  • Reels, Trends & Creative Experimentation

  • Stay updated on social media trends, formats, audio, and content styles.

  • Identify trends relevant to travel, hostels, backpacking, and youth-oriented hospitality.

  • Adapt trends creatively rather than simply copying popular content.

  • Experiment with different hooks, formats, storytelling approaches, and posting styles.

  • Identify opportunities to create engaging and shareable content.

  • Track what resonates with audiences and use insights to improve future content.

  • Community Engagement & Audience Building

  • Monitor and respond to relevant comments, messages, mentions, and audience interactions.

  • Engage with followers and potential guests in a manner consistent with Loop's brand voice.

  • Encourage conversations and participation around Loop's content.

  • Identify opportunities to feature guest stories, testimonials, and user-generated content.

  • Build relationships with travellers, creators, and relevant online communities.

  • Coordinate with property teams to address guest enquiries or feedback received through social media.

  • Property-Level Content & Experience Coverage

  • Work closely with Loop's property teams to identify content opportunities.

  • Capture and showcase property experiences, community events, activities, and guest interactions.

  • Coordinate content requirements across multiple Loop locations.

  • Support content coverage for new property launches, events, campaigns, and special experiences.

  • Build a repository of usable property photos, videos, testimonials, and other creative assets.

  • Ensure content accurately reflects the experience available at each property.

  • Be comfortable visiting properties and participating in on-ground content creation when required.

  • Influencer & Creator Coordination

  • Identify relevant travel creators, micro-influencers, and content collaborators.

  • Support outreach and coordination for creator collaborations.

  • Assist in planning property visits, content requirements, and collaboration deliverables.

  • Track agreed content commitments and ensure timely execution.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to support creator experiences at Loop properties.

  • Identify opportunities for cost-effective collaborations that improve brand visibility.

  • Social Media Performance & Improvement

  • Track content performance across reach, engagement, views, shares, saves, follower growth, and other relevant metrics.

  • Identify high-performing and underperforming content formats.

  • Analyse what types of content generate stronger audience interest.

  • Prepare simple weekly and monthly performance updates.

  • Use insights to improve content planning, posting strategy, and creative execution.

  • Monitor relevant competitor and industry social media activity.

Qualifications & Tech Stack

  • 0–2 years of experience in Social Media, Content Creation, Digital Marketing, or related roles.
  • Fresh graduates with strong content creation skills, relevant internships, or an impressive personal content portfolio may also be considered.
  • Hands-on experience creating content for Instagram, particularly reels and stories.
  • Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, InShot, Adobe Express, or similar content creation tools.
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and engagement metrics.
  • Strong caption writing, creative thinking, and communication skills.

  • Exposure to Travel, Hospitality, Hostels, Lifestyle, Youth Brands, or Community-led Businesses will be valuable.
