About the Role
Amentum is seeking an entry-level Vehicle Emissions Technician for the Allen Park Test Labs. This position is for the Afternoon shift and is full-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing of full vehicles on chassis rolls.
- Conduct evaporative emission testing.
- Install vehicles on chassis rolls.
- Install and checkout instrumentation.
- Calibrate test systems instrumentation.
- Operate site computers.
- Operate emission test sites.
- Drive manual and automatic transmissions to precisely follow video road speed traces of various emission test cycles.
- Perform data validation and analysis.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High School Diploma/High School Equivalent required.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Automotive Technology or two (2) years of college courses in automotive engineering or related disciplines is desired.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience is desired.
- Prior emission vehicle chassis roll experience is preferred.
