About the Role
- Support software development & integration in C++ or C in support of Naval projects at Dahlgren, VA.
- Contribute to a growing systems & software engineering team supporting multiple software contracts.
- Solve complex Digital Engineering challenges on the latest DoD weapons and sensor systems.
- Work with a Senior Amentum developer using Agile development principles.
- Work location: On-site in Dahlgren, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
- Software development in C and/or C++.
- Interact directly with customers and engineering personnel.
- Conduct C++ and/or C software development within the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) weapon system.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- C++ or C.
- Familiarity with Agile Development.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, or other applicable technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to perform analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to work independently and within established teams, across organizations, to meet goals within schedule-driven timelines.
Qualifications
- 0-5 years of experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive on and off base.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across multiple languages, such as C, C++, Java, and Python.
- Some math background.
