Sales and Operations Management Trainee

About the Role

This is an entry-level position with a bachelor's degree requirement, offering $25 per hour.

Position Summary

As a Sales and Operations Management Trainee in a fast-paced environment, you will leverage your degree to manage a business and solve customer problems. You will receive training and mentoring in sales, operations, finance, customer service, and technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop solutions for consumer and commercial customers, including local and national accounts.
• Manage vehicle inventory, balancing fleet productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Generate new business leads and maintain existing customer relationships.
• Ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for a concentration in Business or Marketing.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Results-oriented, with attention to detail and good time management skills.
• A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability and willingness to drive Penske vehicles, including a 26’ box truck.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• This position is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file, including:
• Annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check.
• Successfully completed DOT Physical.
• Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last 3 years.
• If a CDL holder, a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to an FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
• Willingness to travel as necessary within the district.
• Ability to work the required schedule and at the specific location.
• Ability to accept responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read, communicate verbally and in written form.
• Ability to remember and analyze information, and understand instructions or guidelines.
• May be required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and reach.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs/12kg.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
