About the Role
The Junior Civil Engineer will work closely with other engineers and CAD technicians on various civil, solid waste, and environmental related projects in our Daphne, AL office. Projects provide unique design opportunities, focusing on designing solid waste facilities to create sustainable, cost-effective solutions tailored to client needs. Projects incorporate civil and environmental engineering skills, including land development, leachate management, renewable energy designs, and organic waste management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design solid-waste related site development projects:
- Developing master plans
- Creating design drawings
- Designing stormwater management and erosion control systems
- Developing technical specifications
- Preparing cost estimates
- Preparing various reports and studies to secure permitting for projects.
- Drafting work for scoping, conceptual work, and engineering packages.
- Travel to clients' facilities to understand design issues and monitor construction progress.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be a team player.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Passed the FE Exam with intent to obtain Professional Engineer license.
- 0 to 5 years of experience, including solid waste, land development, or closely related projects.
- Enthusiasm for all aspects of engineering and project management.
- Ability to relate well to project teams, clients, regulators, and contractors.
