Machine engineer

About the Role

The Machine Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru North, focused on supporting precision sheet metal manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and optimising mechanical systems and fixtures.
• Preparing and reviewing CAD models and drawings for production.
• Collaborating with production teams to improve machine performance and throughput.
• Participating in R&D activities.
• Troubleshooting mechanical and process issues on the shop floor.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in areas such as safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Coordinating with project teams to meet client specifications.
• Maintaining documentation for engineering changes.
• Contributing to the integration of new equipment and technologies into the production line.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Skills in Mechanical Engineering with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and precision sheet metal fabrication.
• Skills in Machine Design, including designing jigs, fixtures, and mechanical assemblies for production environments.
• Skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), preferably using industry-standard tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software.
• Skills in Project Management, including planning, coordination with cross-functional teams, and meeting timelines and quality standards.
• Skills in Research and Development (R&D), including prototyping, testing, and implementing engineering improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Capacity to work effectively on-site in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications include a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, CNC processes, or enclosure manufacturing is highly beneficial.
